Inductive Ring Sensors from Baluff for Sensing Tiny Components

Balluff, a subsidiary of NewHausen-based Balluff, in Germany has launched a new series of inductive ring sensors which can help monitor the in-feed of small metal components.

These sensors can be easily installed and used in a range of applications. They can be either stacked or mounted side by side. The ring sensors are being offered in 25mm, 15mm and 10mm diameter openings and have the capacity to modify the output signal’s time period. They are connected with the help of a M12 connector and have a separate LED for function indication and one LED for power.

These sensors can be used to detect small items such as welded studs, screws and nails and also for jam detection of feed tubes. They are used for component counting and ejection monitoring. They can also monitor wire-breakage and are made use of in nail machines for pallet manufacturing. In-feed monitoring in assembly technology is also possible with these sensors.

Balluff manufactures an extensive range of magnetic, photoelectric, inductive, capacitive and vision sensors along with RFID systems, linear position transducers and products for networking. Balluff factory floor solutions and OEM products are utilized to manage, adjust, automate, position, assemble and monitor packaging, assembly and manufacturing sequences for industries such as electronics, electrical, medical, wood processing, material handling, plastics and aerospace to name a few.
