Home Security System Incorporates Carbon Monoxide Sensor
Your Alarm Now has added an innovative advancement to its existing portfolio of home security systems. The company not only specializes in protecting homes from burglars but their latest product has an exclusive feature of sensing carbon dioxide in homes and buildings.
Carbon monoxide detector
The inhalation of Carbon Monoxide is a threat to human health since once it is inhaled it will replace oxygen in the blood. The replacement of oxygen will be specifically in the part of the red blood cell, the hemoglobin that transports oxygen in the human body. This may cause the person to have hypoxia, which is fatal.
The home security system was installed in a home where a young woman lived after she was advised by the representative of the company to install the system with the carbon monoxide detector. As she had gone out for the weekend, she came home and turned on the gas fireplace for some time to ensure that the house becomes warm. She went to her neighbor’s house, gathered the mail and stayed back for dinner. She returned home and went to sleep. She was suddenly awakened when the carbon monoxide alarm sounded. The customer care representative called and informed her that the fire personnel are on their way as her carbon monoxide detector had sounded an alarm.
The firefighters found out that the deadly gas had filled the home and a large amount was in the young lady’s bedroom. That night she slept at a neighbor’s place and the gas company found that there were a number of leaks in the gas logs as well as in the meter outside.
