Temposonics MH Agri Sensor from MTS Systems

MTS Systems has unveiled the Temposonics MH-Agri magnetostrictive linear position sensor that is ideal for in-cylinder measurement applications. The MH-Agri (recognized by the green lid) has been created to support large agricultural vehicle projects entailing specific product specifications.

By providing the technology similar to Temposonics Model MH sensors, the new Temposonics MH Agri Sensor benefits the market with its unique features.

The MH-Agri includes MTS proprietary M12 connector system for IP 69k for installing in cylinder. It also features 300 bar operating pressure, 400 bar pressure spikes, 12 V DC power supply, 10 mm pressure resistant sensor rod, 50 g shock, 15 g vibration rating,0.25 V DC to 4.75 V DC output, 50 to 1000 mm stroke range, and has been EMC tested to ISO 14982.

The MH-Agri is an affordable solution for being used in position sensing applications. MTS Sensors optimizes the electronics, provides specific features and also complies with the stringent mandates of the agricultural machine market.

Based on new production processes and automation, this sensor has been designed and developed by MTS in large quantities. With the launch of this new sensor, agricultural equipment manufacturers can now replace proximity sensors, rotary, potentiometric, or angle sensors with convenient and versatile non-contact magnetostrictive technology built within the cylinder for extended time, thereby enhancing the machine’s overall reliability and reducing the service costs as well.
