Image Sensing Systems Presently Conducting IP Camera Interoperability Testing and ONVIF Software Support

Image Sensing Systems, Inc. announced today support for the ONVIF protocol within its widely deployed License Plate Recognition (LPR) software. ONVIF (www.onvif.org) is an open industry forum promoting and developing global standards for interfaces of IP-based physical security products.

ONVIF interoperability will give a wide variety of public safety, security, parking and surveillance organizations the ability to incorporate intelligent License Plate Recognition (LPR) capabilities while leveraging existing surveillance IP camera infrastructure investments.

Image Sensing Systems is currently conducting IP camera interoperability testing and ONVIF software support is slated for general availability in November 2013.

"It's important that we provide our customers with a wide range of camera options at different price points, and the ability to leverage existing IP camera investments," said Kris Tufto, Image Sensing Systems CEO. "With ONVIF compliance, we can deliver an even stronger Return on Investment value proposition to customers hoping to leverage the power of our advanced LPR software and analytics."

Image Sensing Systems will be exhibiting at the upcoming ASIS Conference in Chicago, IL September 24-27, 2013. The company will be demonstrating in Booth # 5010 a wide range of public safety, security and access control solutions for law enforcement, critical infrastructure, retailers and more.
