Optek Technology Develops OPL611 Sensors

Optek Technology has introduced a new compact, photo light, surface mount sensor series the OPL611.

OPL611

Featuring a Photologic chip encased in transparent moulded plastic and featuring data rates up to 250 Kbps, the sensors provide mechanical protection and optical coupling. The Schmitt trigger’s hysteresis characteristics give the sensors noise immunity, thereby making them ideal for use in various sensing applications such as assembly line automation, machine safety and automation, interruptive and non-contact reflective object sensing, in addition to object, paper and end-of-travel sensing.

The sensors, measuring 3 x 3ᅠmm, are 1 mm in height and are spectrally and mechanically matched to the company’s OP280, OP270, OP250, OP200 and OP180 series infrared LEDs. Featuring a direct TTL/LSTTL CMOS interface, the sensors are available with open collector outputs as well as inverter and buffer 10 K internal pull-up. The operating temperature of the sensors varies from -40°C to +85°C.
