Panasonic Releases LUMIX FZ100, a Fully Hybrid Digital Camera with MOS Sensor

Panasonic Electronics Company, unveiled the company’s premier hybrid sleek digital camera that comes with a 14.1 mega pixel MOS sensor, a new LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens with a 24x optical zoom named the LUMIX FZ 100. This state-of-the-art camera allows, full 1080 High Definition (HD) Video Competencies can used by amateurs and professionals.

It features smart burst shooting with 11 frames per second in 14.1 mega pixel full resolution and 60 frames in a 3.5 mega pixel recording. An additional feature is the production of action shots, using uninterrupted auto focus, up to five frames/second total resolution. The camera decides the exact shutter speeds, to control motion blur formed by the actions of the subject matter, by the use of motion Debur mode along with POWER O.I.S (optical image stabilizer) and the striking brilliance from the lens. POWER O.I.S forms a part of Intelligent Auto mode (IA) which is included in all Panasonic LUMIX digital cameras. The IA suite comprises of high resolution LCD, with a free-angle 3.0’ big 460,000 dot and POWER O.I.S, face detection, Face recognition, Intelligent ISO Control, AF Tracking, Intelligent Exposure and Scene Selector which instinctively or spontaneously recalls faces for future operations, while the scene selector singles out any one of the available six scene modes that would be suitable.

Panasonic’s IA along with Dolby digital stereo creator’s high sound output, a DMW-MS1 optional stereo microphone port and wind cut feature (which is present to decrease background sounds) together are great for shooting videos or movies.

Photos and videos are recorded on AVCHD format on SD or SDXC or SDHC Memory cards. Moreover, the usage of My color mode boosts innovation and creativity levels for the users, with its innumerous options such as high Dynamic B&W, new pin hole and film grain.

LUMIX FZ100’s Bundled software, which is adaptable to windows 7, helps in organizing and uploading the photos directly into the YOU tube uploader. It allows user to develop a 360° rotation panorama file in .MOV files. The happy mode in Panasonic’s IA uses intensive color, saturation and brightness levels to create real-life and attractive photos and movies. The product is supposed to hit the markets by the end of August at a rate of $499.95.
