EarlySense Announces Market Clearance by FDA for Chair Sensor Solution

EarlySense®, the market leader in contact free monitoring solutions today announced the market clearance by the US Food and Drug Administration for the Chair Sensor Solution. The Chair Sensor, which continuously monitors patient's Heart Rate, Respiratory Rate and Movement, was recently evaluated at Coffee Regional Medical Center where it successfully enabled the clinical team to proactively respond to early signs of Patient Deterioration and to prevent Patient Falls. This is the first contact free sensor for vital signs in a chair.

As well as having an extremely compact design, the system also offers high accuracy and a maximum transmitter to receiver gap of 2 metres, which incredibly, unlike any other micrometer currently on the market, the optoCONTROL 2520 allows the target to be positioned at any point in the gap.
