Nortek Security & Control LLC, a Nortek Company and a leader in the security and smart home markets, today announced the addition of three new home safety products to the GoControl® portfolio of devices.
Since its inception, the GoControl line has provided consumers with added security and convenience through a full line of wireless home control products. The new GoControl® Glass Break Sensor, GoControl® Smart Micro Motion Detector and GoControl® Smart Micro 4-in-1 sensor, bring a range of expanded safety solutions to today’s smart home.
GoControl Glass Break Sensor
The GoControl Glass Break Sensor offers superior monitoring of glass windows or doors and alerts the homeowner when a break has been detected. Unlike other ‘shock’-type detectors, which can only be affixed to one single pane of glass, the GoControl Glass Break Sensor can be easily mounted on the wall or ceiling and monitor multiple windows or glass doors within a 12-foot radius of the sensor. Advanced two-stage “thump & crash” detection technology uses acoustic monitoring and analysis to significantly reduce false alarms. The GoControl Glass Break Sensor effortlessly integrates with any Z-Wave hub, app, and other devices to alert homeowners when a glass break event has occurred. MSRP: $49.95.
GoControl Smart Micro Motion
A wireless indoor safety device that is designed to sense and report motion activity and transmit alert signals via a Z-Wave wireless mesh network, the GoControl Smart Micro Motion sensor features a 360 degree detection angle and a 35-foot range. Two AAA batteries imbue the motion sensor with an impressive two-year projected life while a low battery alert lets homeowners know when it’s time to swap those batteries out. The GoControl Smart Micro Motion sensor can be used to turn on the lights when motion is sensed, such as illuminating a walkway or shining a spotlight, adding an additional layer of safety and protection to the home. GoControl Smart Micro 4-in-1
Similar to the GoControl Smart Micro Motion sensor, the GoControl Smart Micro 4-in-1 is a wireless indoor safety device designed to sense and report motion activity via a Z-Wave mesh network but is also a temperature, humidity, and light sensor. Featuring a 35-foot range and 360 degrees of detection, the GoControl Smart Micro 4-in-1 sensor reports absolute temperature and humidity readings that can be used to trigger additional smart home scenes such as adjusting the thermostat to preset temperature. MSRP: $74.95.
All new GoControl products include the Z-Wave 500 Series chip and will have Z-Wave Plus™ certification. The GoControl portfolio will be on display at CES 2016 in Las Vegas in the Nortek Security & Control booth #70936 (Sands) and the Z-Wave Alliance Pavilion booth #21000 (South Hall).
