EnergyHub Includes Emerson's Sensi Wi-Fi Programmable Thermostat in Utility Demand Response Programs

Emerson, a leader in thermostats and heating, cooling and refrigeration technology, today announced its top-rated Sensi™ Wi-Fi Programmable Thermostat is now eligible for demand response programs managed by EnergyHub.

EnergyHub, a leading provider of connected device management for utilities, will include the Sensi thermostat in utility demand response programs, which enable consumers to play a role in conserving energy by reducing or shifting their electricity usage during peak periods.

“Sensi thermostat users like having easy, convenient access to control both their home temperature and energy usage,” said Bob Sharp, executive vice president of Emerson. “The EnergyHub collaboration will allow our customers to get even greater value from their Sensi devices. It will help them save money as well: Consumers who participate in demand response programs can save up to 10 percent on energy costs.”

The EnergyHub collaboration is the latest in the Sensi thermostat’s expanding list of integrations. In addition to EnergyHub, Emerson also has strategic integrations with Amazon Echo and Wink smart home platforms for improved home energy management.

The Sensi thermostat, one of the most affordable choices in the connected-thermostat category, is the first Wi-Fi thermostat to achieve Energy Aware certification and is one of the most precise thermostats, with +/- one degree accuracy. It works with most heating and cooling systems and offers an easy DIY install and intuitive mobile app.
