Teledyne DALSA Showcases Shad-o-Scan Detectors at ASNT Digital Imaging Conference

Teledyne DALSA, a Teledyne Technologies company and global leader in digital X-Ray image sensing, will showcase its Shad-o-Scan family of scanning detectors at ASNT’s Digital Imaging Conference, taking place July 25-26 at Foxwoods Resorts and Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

High Resolution Shad-o-Scan™ CCD Detectors feature Time Delay and Integration (TDI) and thrive in the harshest of environments

Together with Teledyne ICM, the companies will display their unique and unmatched product lines featuring high-resolution digital x-ray detectors and portable x-ray generators.

Shad-o-Scan detectors satisfy a wide range of imaging requirements with built-in flexibility to control the imaging mode and configure the X-ray sensor. Requiring only 15 Watts at full speed operation, the Shad-o-Scan 8K detector has no need for external cooling, reducing cost and maintenance concerns on the system level. Comprehensive self-diagnostics and 100% in-field firmware upgradeability minimizes service overhead.

With the highest dynamic range in the industry, and state-of-the-art 16-bit digitization, Shad-o-scan detectors allow for X-ray imaging at diminishingly low dose levels. Unique industrial-grade X-ray conversion stack effectively eliminates imaging artifacts associated with image lag and gain hysteresis. Several scintillators options (CsI and GdOS) are available.

The detectors offer a unique combination of higher resolution and fast imaging suitable for industrial x-ray inspection, scientific imaging, and non-destructive testing, including Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Inspection, Microfocus Computed Tomography (CT) and small-animal imaging.
