eleven-x Inc.’s intelligent parking solution enables real-time tracking of space availability status and helps retain historical usage data for each of the parking spaces. The outcome of the data collection has led to the development of a detailed parking profile depending on the usage of each parking space and allows Momentum Developments to make data-driven decisions on the basis of the type and number of spaces required, and also potential needs for upcoming developments.
A number of commercial properties in Southern Ontario are owned and managed by Momentum Developments, and each individual development includes occupants that consist of residents as well as commercial retailers. Momentum Developments— as part of their development model—maintains the parking amenities as separate entities from the retail/accommodation structures. The diverse nature of the occupants has made parking asset management a major aspect of the holistic property management function, and here, eleven-x’s intelligent parking solution provides Momentum Developments an efficient method to track the usage of all kinds of parking spaces provided—from accessible and commercial needs to residents and visitors to electronic vehicles.
The first integration has been made at the One Victoria Condominium development situated in the Innovation District in the city of Kitchener. About 200 “floating” or undesignated parking spaces are included in the premier location; as part of the initial deployment, roughly 95% of these parking spaces are being tracked. The intelligent parking solution provided by eleven-x represents the initial step towards monetizing the fixed parking spaces, and within a year, the return on investment can possibly be realized. Monetization of the parking spaces provides a new, potential opportunity for property owners to generate revenue from current assets. In this context, eleven-x has incorporated several intelligent parking solutions, including the existing deployments with the University of British Columbia and the City of Stratford.
This solution from eleven-x allows us to understand how our parking facilities and assets are being used and to make better decisions on future requirements, which helps us optimize our parking assets while providing a great experience for all tenants. Our low power, wireless solution will help Momentum gain a true understanding of their parking assets and how best to support their tenant’s needs in a cost effective manner.
