Diodes Incorporated Introduces Advanced ZXLD1374 LED Drivers for Lighting Devices

Diodes Incorporated, a pioneer in the fabrication and supply of standard logic and analog semiconductor application products, has declared the release of a multiple topology LED driver called the ZXLD1374 for improving the efficiency of industrial, automotive and commercial lighting systems.

The ZXLD1374 LED driver is operative on boost, buck and buck-boost modes and the integral MOSFET switch with a 60V current generates 1.5A LED power. The IC’s high-side power sensor and patent-awaiting control loops furnish precise power control in the LED strings.

The intensive input voltage ranging from 6V to 60V coupled with a 1% output current control in all the structures indicates that the driver is capable of maintaining high ranges of power and compact inter-lamp luminance required by the brightest LED devices. The LED temperature control is gained by means of a high-performance exterior thermistor input and the condition of the load and LED driver is displayed by error inspecting outputs. This functionality inturn ensures the durability and security of the LEDs The high-performance of PWM and DC dimming pins supplies a 1000:1 active dimming range at a frequency of 500Hz providing precise maintenance of color combinations and intense resolutions even in reduced brightness levels. The 1MHz switching range of the IC with 100 kHz lower frequency clamp lowers the size of the exterior inductor and uncomplicates the configuration of any of the EMI input filters.
