Murata Manufacturing is a leading company that manufactures differential technological solutions encompassing various resistors, capacitors and varied sensing devices. The company has recently released its new series of innovative life-saving sensing systems at the CEATEC, 2010 symposium at Japan.
Photoplethysmographice sensor
The company’s advanced product features a photoplethysmographic sensing element and EKG electrodes which are capable of measuring oxygen saturation levels in the blood and the pulse of the user, effectively. The device then evaluates the calibrated data and generates a warning signal if he/she is identified as weakened from the reports.
This technology can be useful for long-haul truckers or pilots. Murata also plans to integrate this unique technology in mobile phones and in game consoles to alert the teens and kids to be aware of their energy levels while, using mobiles and playing games for a long duration.
