Transducers USA Launches New Electret Microphone

Transducer USA has launched a novel ultra-small electret condenser microphone, the Model KECG2742 with IP-57, IEC certification, for water and dust resistant applications.

The miniature 6.02mmD x 2.7mmH size of the devise, meeting IP-57 Standard, makes it suitable for transceivers, remote microphones, mobile radio, or in any devise for use in extreme environments. Two enclosed cable leads are used for termination.

The innovative microphone is Omni-directional having a response frequency of 100 to 20,000 Hz at 60dBA low signal to noise response. It shows an output impedance of 2.2 KÙ at 2.0VDC operating voltage at 0.5mA, in a temperature range of -20°C to +70°C. The device is aluminum shielded and is consistent with RoHS.

Apart from the Electret Microphone, the company’s wide range of ceramic elements, piezo buzzers, receivers, microphones, speakers, ultrasonic sensors, and emitters find wide applications in medical, telecommunications, and product industries across North America. Most of the company’s products are ISO-9002, ISO-9001 and/or QS-9000 authorized, and are produced in China, Taiwan and Korea.
