AlcoSense has launched a wall mounted breathalyser in the UK. The product is being marketed by RLMS Sales. Intended to monitor driving under alcoholic influence and help users keep track of their alcohol consumption, the device will initially be a coin-operated unit.
The AlcoSense WM1 belongs to the company’s breathalyser range and is being debuted in the UK with the first unit being mounted at a nightclub in Maidenhead in 2010. Another unit is currently being tested at a brewery located in West County. These devices are a common feature in America, Australia and Scandinavia.
The device features a platinum electrochemical (fuel cell) sensor to offer precise alcohol levels and has a 7inch LCD screen that shows still or moving pictures.
