Omron’s E3X-SD Amplifiers for Use in Photoelectric Sensing Applications

Omron has enhanced its E3X series of fibre amplifiers with the E3X-SD fibre-optic sensor.

Omron's Fibre-Optic Sensor

It features one-button teaching solution with instruction displays that are easily understood and an instinctive physical threshold adjustment option.. They are ideal for photoelectric space constrained applications in which the amplifier is placed away from the sensor. The vacuum, chemical and heat resistant devices are also suitable for volatile conditions.

The devices can be operated easily by pressing upon the teach button as an object passes by the sensor. Alternately, the button can be pressed down in the presence of the object and then again when it is no longer there. Using the up and down keys to monitor the device offers better precision.

The incorporated display show the light level received, but pressing upon the adjustment buttons will display the threshold figures. The circuitry that controls emission facilitates consistency and long lasting operation. A lock holding down the fibres in place also enhances dependability.
