Wireless Pressure Sensor for Battery Powered Applications

Sensonor has recently unveiled its SP400-series of precision wireless digital absolute pressure sensors. Having an embedded RISC micro controller, it is offered in four pressure ranges from 150kPa (22psi) to 2000kPa (290psi).

The three customizable configurable I/O pins are suitable for specific application uses. Its firmware is designed to monitor its measurement cycles and then process the relevant data. It has an integrated RF transmitter and communicates across 315 MHz and 433MHz using transmitting power that can be adjusted. The integrated LF receiver unit facilitates two way communications. The device will also display its serial number, temperature, and supply voltage, besides non-stop self-diagnostic information.

The device is available in a compact 14pin SOIC housing that consists of pressure tube connection, with an on-chip accelerometer for operating from -40° to 125°C is also available. The device is suitable for battery powered applications and does not need costly wiring or added integration for the transmitter and microcontrollers.
