Advantech Releases 12-Channel Analog Input System for Reading Thermocouple Sensor Data

Advantech, an Industrial Automation Group, has released APAX-5018, a new 12-channel thermocouple module.

This analog input solution is designed to read thermocouple sensor data and can save both installation and dimension costs. Different ranges and input types can be configured in each input channel, regardless of the thermocouple, current and voltage inputs.

The APAX-5018 module can automatically identify the connection status of the thermocouple sensors with the help of wire burn-out detection functionality.

In order to increase the reliability of the system and to eliminate unexpected event occurrences, the APAX-5018 channels are designed to return to their default values. The information read will function only when the thermocouple is connected.

The thermocouple module can be incorporated with Advantech APAX series systems via controllers, couplers and backplanes to enhance system scalability.
