Biomagnetics Diagnostics, a company specializing in powerful diagnostic systems and innovative technologies for diagnosing malaria, cholera, tuberculosis, hepatitis, and HIV in patients, confirmed that it has received a first-of-its-kind integrated optical biosensor for diagnosing various diseases.
Engineers and scientists at Los Alamos National Laboratory have designed the diagnostic equipment. Biomagnetics Diagnostics has planned to lend its support to commercialize this innovative technology.
The CEO of Biomagnetics Diagnostics, Clayton Hardman stated that the integrated optical biosensor moves out from laboratory to actual practical applications. The diagnostic system can help even untrained medical staff to diagnose different types of diseases in a relatively shorter span of time. He further added that the company will take steps to reengineer the technology for commercialization as well as for clinical trials.
