Wi-Fi Touch Screen Programmable Thermostat Enables Remote Control of Home Heating Systems

3M has introduced a new Wi-Fi Touch Screen Programmable Thermostat, which enables users to remotely monitor and control home heating or cooling system through a computer, smartphone or tablet.

The thermostat can be controlled from anywhere in the world. The Filtrete Wi-Fi thermostat has been designed reduce power consumption and therefore prevents energy wastage.

The thermostat is integrated with the Wi-Fi technology, which makes it easy to install and link to the HVAC system. Once the connection is set up, the home heating and cooling system can be switched on or off or the temperature can be controlled through tablet, PC or iPhones. The thermostat is compatible with existing as well as older HVAC systems. It is programmed to perform at optimum energy level; however, users have the option of programming the system. They can program the thermostat to monitor the home system using the holiday setting while they are away on vacation or put the system on energy saving mode by enabling the one-touch energy-saving button.
