Flexpoint Sensor Systems, a supplier of thin film sensing technology for medical, automotive, industrial controls and other industries, has secured an order for production molds and tooling for use in fabrication of enclosure devices for its bend sensor.
The sensor devices would be able to detect occupancy or non-occupancy of seats and could be applied for other different applications. These sensors have the capacity to replace existing applications for occupancy sensors and can pave way for new areas of sensor applications.
The current purchase order is from Intertek Industrial Corporation. Flexpoint further announced that two other companies are waiting for the development of the sensor in the new format. The company anticipates new orders for its sensors based on the developments.
