Pixim has acquired Advasense Technologies, a company specializing in advanced CMOS image sensor technology and based in Ra’anana, Israel.
Advasense was originally created to enhance the image quality of cameras in mobile uses. Since then, the firm has deployed breakthrough ideas in high resolution image sensors involving smaller pixel sizes.
Pixim is currently experiencing increased sales growth, which is attributed to the release of its new chip product, Seawolf. This imaging chip joins the company’s set of image sensor products in the video security market. The Advasense workforce perfectly goes with Pixim in designing sensor-specific product and will be combined with Pixim’s current product development unit. This new addition to the engineering team of Pixim will help the company to speed up its sales growth.
Both companies will complement each other with the new technology. For example, in the current scenario high resolution cameras demand high-quality small pixels in the video security market. Advasense’s deep photodiodes can improve the image quality in different lighting conditions even the size of the pixels becomes smaller.
