Safran/Messier-Bugatti-Dowty has chosen the CIRCOR Aerospace Products Group for the manufacture of retraction actuators to be used in A340 and A330 main landing gears. CIRCOR would provide support for all different versions of the actuators as well as enhanced and basic configurations for each aircraft.
The production, final assembly and testing would be carried at CIRCOR’s California facilities at Sylmar and Corona. Prior to this, CIRCOR had obtained a number of development and design contracts for the A350 XWB via Messier-Bugatti-Dowty’s system equipment division. Having been awarded this actuator package, the CIRCOR Aerospace continues to be a major system partner of Messier-Bugatti-Dowty.
According to Michael Dill, who is the Vice President of the CIRCOR Aerospace Products Group, the company is greatly honored to be Messier-Bugatti-Dowty’s key supplier and is eagerly waiting to expand its growing partnership with them.
