General Monitors Introduces Intelligent Hydrogen Gas Detector

Manufacturer of flame detection instruments, General Monitors has introduced a gas detector that precisely identifies hydrogen at levels ranging from 0 to 500 ppm.

Gas Detector

The TS4000H intelligent gas detector constantly monitors for hydrogen and incorporates an electrochemical hydrogen sensor. This precision hydrogen sensor has a T90 response of less than 30 sec and very less zero shift across the operating environmental conditions.

The gas detector incorporates a design with Modbus or HART communications. It also includes 8A relays and an output ranging from 4 to 20 mA. The detector features a three-digit LED display, which shows the gas concentrations in ppm. It also offers comprehensive status to the control room and shows fault codes for troubleshooting purposes.

All components of the gas detector are integrated in an explosion-proof housing. This enables the gas sensor to process the information at the sensor site. The gas sensor can also be mounted at a maximum distance of 2000 ft from the electronics. It can be conveniently installed and can be calibrated by triggering a magnetic switch. The intrinsically-safe, galvanically-isolated design provides support for sensor field replacement without requiring any specific tools.
