Despite the substantial global demand for residual chlorine monitoring, the most widely used models require extensive maintenance and validation. By incorporating both an amperometric and a colorimetric sensor, the Chloribrid® chlorine analyzer from Process Instruments (Pi) was engineered to combine the advantages of both technologies (without the disadvantages) and to deliver the following:
- Significantly reduced scheduled maintenance events
- Significantly reduced callouts
- Zero operator checks
- No calibration
- Substantially lower TOTEX cost of ownership
These are significant claims, and to demonstrate that Process Instruments can deliver on all the above, the company installed a system at a real-world facility for a six-month trial. Six months soon became more than 12 months, providing confidence that Chloribrid® is likely the world’s most dependable and robust chlorine measurement technology.
