Silicon Sensor International Renamed as First Sensor AG

Silicon Sensor International AG will now be called First Sensor AG. The decision to trade under the new name was taken during the company’s annual general meeting.

There would not be any changes in the management, contact persons and senior employees. The company would be expanding its market position and range of products further during the next few years under the new brand name. The company also plans on launching a new website from July 18th. 2011.

This change would incorporate all the company’s development history during the past 20 years, wherein the company evolved from a manufacturer of silicon based, customer-specific optical sensor components to an internationally oriented, integrated industrial company, which offers not only silicon based optical sensor parts but also sensor parts from other materials along with manufacturing technologies, sensor systems and modules.

First Sensor envisions itself as a high growth technology firm associated completely with its customers’ needs and one which is involved in developing individual, customized sensor solutions, and meeting clients’ demands with respect to individuality, precision and reliability.
