VideoBank to Deploy IceWEB 5000 Storage Systems for DoD Agency

VideoBank Inc., a key channel partner of IceWEB Inc., has chosen the IceWEB 5000 Storage System as the platform for base storage for the Video Sensor project it will be executing as part of its Video Capture implementations for a Department of Defense agency. IceWEB Inc. is a major provider of building blocks and Unified Data Storage platforms for cloud storage networks.

The computing storage system from IceWEB delivers high performance and offers distinct capabilities for improved incorporation and performance in video streaming environments. The ability of the storage system to support 10GB Ethernet, file as well as block protocols, and Fibre Channel makes it a highly suitable solution for environments that are data intensive. The base system will comprise 2 TB drives and three more IceWEB 500 disk shelves thus taking the overall capacity to more than 100 TBs.

As per latest research, by 2013, the digital storage capacity of the surveillance market worldwide will be about 3.2 billion GB, taking the market value to about $2.5 billion. IMS Research foresees massive growth in IP and enterprise surveillance video storage in spite of discouraging economic trends.

The CEO of IceWEB, John R. Signorello is pleased about VideoBank selecting IceWEB 5000 as its storage platform and stated that IceWEB is committed to providing any resource required by VideoBank to satisfy and develop its large group of customers.
