The Long Island-based fleet management solution and automatic vehicle location device manufacturer, Vehicle Tracking Solutions (VTS) has added innovative GPS monitoring functionalities to the Silent Passenger Fleet Tracking Application.
The new features added to the mobile and web-based Silent Passenger application include Rapid Update, Locate Now, Panic Alerts and Drag and Drop Landmarks, which allow users to efficiently track their vehicles and access real-time data over the Internet.
The Rapid update allows the user to receive updates in intervals of 10 seconds once active. In order to use the rapid update feature, “follow vehicle” has to be clicked from the vehicle bubble and a new tab opens. Rapid update is clicked in the new tab and vehicle tracking updates are observed. The Locate Now feature has been added to enable users to locate the precise location of the vehicle in real-time with GPS tracking, thus displaying the current location of the vehicle.
Once the driver activates the Panic button, other Silent Passenger users receive a text notification with details of the distressed driver. Moreover, the user can precisely place landmarks in specific locations by using a drag and drop feature. VTS monitors more than 18,500 vehicles for more than 1,150 clients.
