Flexpoint Sensor Systems and Victor located in Verona, Italy have entered into a joint venture and have signed a marketing agreement for the manufacture and commercialization of products using Bend Sensor technology for Europe’s truck, marine and auto industry.
Victor and Flexpoint have collaborated to develop customized sensors that will be incorporated in steering wheels provided with RimSense, a patented Victor technology. Flexpoint’s Bend Sensor technology will be adapted in developing custom switches that will be featured in the steering wheel’s control. A range of products have been developed by Victor for trucks and automobiles for both their retail and OEM clients.
The President of Flexpoint, Clark Mower stated that the joint venture and marketing agreement with Victor will open several opportunities such as development of more products in the future. Furthermore, with the collaboration, Victor will represent Flexpoint in Europe’s automotive market. They will be jointly marketing both current products as well as new launches. By this it is believed that Flexpoint will be able to considerably increase its business. Victor is a renowned company in Italy that provides a wide variety of products for the truck, automobile and marine industry. The patented RimSense technology is a novel hydrotronic sensing system incorporated in the steering wheel to ensure a range of safety functionalities.
