Venstar Introduces Thermostat with Humidity Control

An energy management systems and thermostat supplier, Venstar has revealed the Slimline Platinum residential thermostat featuring an in-built humidity module. The thermostat Model T1900 has been designed to automatically control both the humidity and temperature.

The President and CEO of Venstar, Steve Dushane stated that the T1900 offers humidity control, which is a big factor in the home’s comfort level. The thermostat has been designed to be compatible with Dual Fuel systems and has been equipped with Reheat for Dehumidification feature. The other features of the T1900 include an output for controlling auxiliary devices, attic fans and outdoor lighting systems.

The Slimline Platinum residential thermostat T1900 is packed with energy efficient features such as Energy Watch and Energy Save, which automatically tracks cooling and heating runtime houses and recalculates the starting time by factoring in environmental conditions. The T1900 also features a drain pan alert which disconnects the system in case of a leak. The thermostat can be programmed for a whole week with periods of four hours each day. It can also be programmed for an automatic changeover for using heat pump, hydronic and electric heat as well as gas and electric systems. The T1900 is also compatible with the wireless and wired range of Venstar remote temperature sensors.

The Model T1900 of the Slimline Platinum residential programmable thermostat range is back-lit and features color coded legends and keys. It features an easy to read, large backlit display which displays temperature readings in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. An LED light glows red or green to indicate heating or cooling. A keypad lock feature ensures that the thermostat settings cannot be tampered with by unauthorized users. The easy to install T1900 thermostat is compatible with majority of the HVAC systems.
