Goodrich, a supplier of services and warning systems to defense, homeland and aerospace security markets, celebrates its supply of the 100th AN/AVR-2B(V) laser warning detecting system to the US Army along with the 51 successive months of on-time detection delivery of the systems in the presence of the special guests from the local and state government officials.

The special officials are Colonel John Leaphart, Aircraft Survivability Equipment’s (ASE) Project Manager and Brigadier General Harold J. Greene, Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors’ (IEW&S) Program Executive Officer of US Army, and Dannel P. Malloy, State of Connecticut’s Governor. The activities of all workers of the company, engaged in the detection of threat at Danbury, are recognized during the celebration ceremony. Apart from the company’s supply event celebration, a formal recognition ceremony was conducted as a remembrance of the attack on Pearl Harbor on 7 December, 1941, for honoring many active aviators of the Army and Connecticut National Guard. For the past 35 years, the company has been producing and installing the AN/AVR-2B(V) laser warning set at the Danbury plant.
Goodrich’s Vice President, Andreas Nonnenmacher took the honor to welcome the officials and thanked both the government and company workers for their dedication, team contribution and hard work. Nonnenmacher stated that the company’s goal is to develop the world’s latest laser detecting units for offering protection to the global aircrews.
During the ceremony, Brigadier General Harold J. Greene delivered the keynote address describing how the laser detection system works at Danbury and has ensured that numerous, husbands, fathers, mothers, wives and children return safely to their homes. Greene stated that they are thankful to Goodrich for its effort in providing the laser detecting unit, which supports their national defense
