UKAS Accreditation for Geotech’s Gas Analyzer Calibration Lab

The Geotech calibration lab has secured UKAS accreditation. This lab caters for the complete portfolio of landfill gas, waste-to-energy gas and biogas analyzers.

Geotech Portable Gas Analyzer

The Geotech analyzers are already the recipients of the MCERTS instrument certification. This UKAS accreditation now provides the most comprehensively verified performance and externally audited endorsement for a producer of calibration systems for portable gas analyzers.

The accreditation of UKAS is for ISO17025 and it involved a strict evaluation of the calibration system of Geotech as well as procedures by the U.K. Accreditation Service.
To ensure that the standards are maintained UKAS will conduct regular independent audits. Geotech is the first producer of portable gas analyzers who has received the UKAS accreditation, according to the UKAS assessor.

Steve Billingham, Managing Director of Geotech UK HQ, informed that Geotech is the leader in providing customers with the best in quality equipment, service and is also calibration compliant according to the most demanding and latest standards. He added that his company is uniquely placed as the top quality vendor in the market along with MCERTS and UKAS.

SITA’s Environmental Risk Manager Mike Brennan congratulated the company for its achievement. He informed that Geotech had responded well to SITA’s needs. The calibration gases of Geotech have been upgraded according to the UKAS certification to the best available accuracy, which will provide an enhanced calibration for customers.

The U.S.-based Landtec, which is the parent company of Geotech, was also helped by personnel from Geotech UK in achieving this ISO17025 accreditation.
