Novel polycarbonate pH and ORP sensors have been introduced by Sensorex.
S150C and S151C-ORP electrodes
The S150C and S151C-ORP Polycarbonate Body 12mm pH/ORP electrodes are comparatively tough and have a lesser cost. This replaces epoxy body electrodes and will be preferred by lab technicians.
The S150C and S151C-ORP electrodes are suitable to all pH/ ORP meters. They have a strong polycarbonate body, are easy to use and maintenance is not required. They are transported in a soaker bottle with a gel filled sealed reference. A new tip model has been used in these electrodes, which protects the ORP platinum and pH bulb. The tip helps in the maintenance of optimal flow rate through out the slit in the polycarbonate body.
S150C electrode is capable of measuring a pH range of 0-14 and S151C-ORP electrode can measure about ±1999mV of ORP. Faster pH response at >90% in 1 second is achieved by the electrodes and shows better performance at a high pressure of 50 psi and temperature of 60°C.
These electrodes have longer life without the need of maintenance and renders wetted materials when silicone, polycarbonate, platinum and pH glass used. They are available with BNC connector and normal 30 in. cable. The electrodes are designed using lead free glass and solder and are RoHS-compliant.
Sensorex was initially established for the production of water quality sensors and now focuses on chlorine dioxide, dissolved oxygen, free chlorine, conductivity, ORP and pH sensors.
