Monnit Launches New Wireless Sensors for Industrial Applications

Monnit, a company specializing in turnkey wireless sensor solutions, has launched its latest range of industrial wireless sensors that are both sturdy and weatherproof.

According to Brad Walters, CEO of Monnit, In view of increased market demands, the company has expanded its range of commercial sensors to serve the industrial sector. The sensors are designed to meet customers’ requirements.

Customers can utilize these sensors in rugged environments like mechanical plants, warehouses, shipping docks and outdoors, and can experience significant cost savings when compared to wired counterparts.

The industrial sensors are available in NEMA rated, sealed enclosures to guard against water, light and dust. They are UL listed to UL508-4x specifications and meet NEMA ratings, which specify that the product must be capable of keeping out about 65 GPM of water from a 1” nozzle delivered from a distance of 10 ft for 5 min.

The new sensors matches the company’s current series of wireless sensors, which are specifically developed to trace and monitor conditions such as movement, temperature, humidity, water, light and distress, amongst others. The industrial sensors pass the data to wireless gateways, which collect the data and relay it to the iMonnit online data monitoring system, which in turn records the data and conveys notifications through email or text. This process occurs when user defined conditions are fulfilled.

Monnit’s entire range of 48 wireless sensors comprises a basic iMonnit online sensor monitoring with email alerts and SMS text.
