Koubachi Wi-Fi Plant Sensor Now Available Across Europe

Koubachi has announced the availability of its Wi-Fi Plant Sensor across Europe. It had been launched at the CeBIT 2012 trade show.

Koubachi Wi-Fi Plant Sensor

The Koubachi Wi-Fi Plant Sensor enables monitoring of a plant’s vitality in real-time. The sensor can be placed in the soil of the plant in the pot and important parameters of the plant - light intensity, temperature and soil moisture can be monitored. The data read by the sensors is sent by the Wi-Fi module to the Koubachi Cloud, which contains scientific care models for analysis. The instructions on the specific care needed, including when and how to care for the plant is sent through the Koubachi iPhone App or Web App.

A single Wi-Fi Plant Sensor can be set up to monitor all the plants in a residence. The device contains a high-precision soil moisture sensor that prevents excessive watering, while ensuring effective watering. The light intensity sensor alerts about the light requirements for the plant and whether it is placed in the correct location for healthy growth. The temperature sensor provides an alert when the ambient surroundings are not suitable for the plant, and helps in placing them in ideal temperature environments.

Certain plants require misting and the Koubachi Wi-Fi Plant Sensor can alert when the plant needs such misting. Plants have individual fertilizing needs. The sensor provides timed notifications about when to provide fertilizers for the plants.

The Wi-Fi sensor has won the 2012 red dot design award.
