EQUANOX Advance Model 7600 Oximetry System Feature at Premier’s Innovation Celebration

Nonin Medical declared that its EQUANOX Advance Model 7600 Cerebral/Somatic Oximetry System was one of the 20 products displayed at Premier healthcare alliance's Innovation Celebration in Nashville, Tennessee.

A hospital-owned performance improvement alliance with more than 84,000 care sites and 2,600 hospitals, Premier healthcare alliance through its annual Innovation Celebration identifies industry suppliers and healthcare providers committed to enhancing patient outcomes. Clinicians and other members of Premier alliance selected the products according to their ability and uniqueness to have influence on unmet medical requirement and potential to favorably impact patient care.

Clinicians use EQUANOX Advance 7600 oximetry system to determine oxygen saturation changes in tissue and brain. EQUANOX Advance 7600 oximetry system is a noninvasive tissue oximeter that prevents cognitive impairment or neurological injury, detects stroke and protects vital organ areas from hypoxia.

Brian Kane, a Group Product Manager-Cerebral Oximetry at Nonin Medical, stated that the EQUANOX 7600 system is the first-of-its-kind device to use a dual light emitting and detecting sensor design. The patented EQUANOX technology enables better targeted tissue reading and at the same time eliminates surface artifacts, which interfere with measurement precision and hence physicians can accurately detect patients' oxygen saturation readings based on actual physiological change.

Durral Gilbert, a Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Emerging Services for Premier healthcare alliance, said that individuals who participate in the Innovation Celebration share Premier's dedication to deliver valuable and innovative products that influence healthcare's safety, cost and quality. People can benefit by these innovations as healthcare providers continue to deliver improved patient care.
