Implant Sciences Delivers Handheld Explosives Trace Detectors to Africa

Implant Sciences, a modern technology supplier of sensors and systems for defense as well as homeland security markets, has declared that an additional six of its Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 handheld explosives trace detectors were supplied to a Nigerian customer in Lagos. This increasing sale represents a high demand for security devices in Africa.

The units are ideal for applications for screening luggage and cars that enter the hotel property.

According to Implant Sciences' VP of Global Sales and Marketing, Dr. Darryl Jones, the company has extended its sales more and more to private sector customers throughout the African continent such as hotels, office buildings, and industrial facilities. A single hotel has deployed six units, thus indicating the increasing demand for security devices in private sector settings and demonstrating the potential of Implant Sciences to cater to the requirements and demands in this developing market.

Implant Sciences' President and CEO, Glenn Bolduc stated that the company anticipates witnessing further sales to the regions in the Northern and Sub-Saharan Africa in addition to supplying its innovative security devices to Nigeria. The systems are considered to be the desired choice for use in private sector settings as the systems are devoid of any radioactive materials. The company’s marketing teams are receiving more contracts owing to the superior performance and technology of Quantum Sniffers. With these competitive advantages, the company can easily and efficiently implement this innovative product on a worldwide basis.
