Xsens to Debut MTi Product Portfolio at AUVSI 2012

Xsens has released a new MTi product portfolio. This versatile offering can be used for industrial applications, including unmanned system control and antenna/camera stabilization. This G-4 high-performance product line enables MEMS-based motion trackers such as VRU, IMU, GPS/INS, and AHRS attain precision and efficiency compliance.

MTi® product portfolio

The new MTi features power conservation, cost-efficiency, convenient size and flexible interfacing options. This comprehensive portfolio comprises seven distinctive models that ensure 3D- orientation, -velocity, -position, - dynamic data and a variety of interface options, and is ideal for all industrial applications.

The MTi product portfolio encompasses two product lines:

  • The MTi 10-series is an upgrade of the earlier MTi generations and enhances orientation precision during vibrations with approximate factor of 50. The accelerometers’ and gyroscopes’ bandwidth shows increase by factor of 15. MTi-10 IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), the MTi-20 VRU (Vertical Reference Unit) and the MTi-30 AHRS (Attitude and Heading Reference System) are currently being offered.
  • The MTi 100-series is the company’s innovative high-performance product line that results from the integration of powerful multi-core processing unit and an advanced vibration rejecting gyroscopes. Being offered as MTi-100 IMU, MTi-200 VRU and MTi-300 AHRS, these offerings can be used as drop-in substitute to the MTi 10-series for attaining high precision. Following the launch of MTi-G in 2007, this MTi-G-700 GPS/INS has been released. The MTi-100 series is an affordable replacement unit that supports high-grade IMUs.

Xsens will debut new MTi product portfolio at AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems show from 6 to 9h August 2012 in Las Vegas, NV, USA.
