Cambridge Pixel now offers primary radar acquisition and network distribution solutions to DSE Airport Solutions, a Danish company for integration within air traffic management (ATM) project for the Royal Danish Air Force.
DSE’s solution was installed at three Danish military airports for extending integrated air traffic management solution for flight plan management and radar control. For improvement, engineers required a flexible solution for radar capture, distribution and compression for incorporation with their Windows-based application software, and DSE’s RADIS radar display client in specific.
As per the contract, Cambridge Pixel will deliver its HPx-200 PCI-based primary radar acquisition cards that will acquire standard (LOG) and moving target (MTI) video channels from the radar. Video data will then be packed and distributed based on Cambridge Pixel’s SPx Server software that can operate on dual redundant server PCs. Accessed from the network, the radar will be decompressed and used in application software for display, benefiting the client.
Cambridge Pixel’s HPx-200 card is a component of an array of radar acquisition and processing components ensuring system integrators with an innovative toolkit that will enable the development of server and client display systems. Cambridge Pixel’s superior SPx suite of software libraries and applications extend ready-to-run, versatile software products or ‘modules-of-expertise’ for plot extraction, radar visualization, target tracking, and radar video distribution.
Cambridge Pixel’s expertise team has been extensively developing complex radar processing and display systems that have wide application in vessel traffic, naval, air traffic control, security and airborne radar uses.
