Cobra to Feature Vedetta Series of Radar/Laser/Camera Detectors at 2012 SEMA Show

Cobra Electronics Corporation, the leading designer and marketer of award-winning automotive, mobile and consumer electronics, today announced it will feature its latest automotive innovations at the 2012 SEMA Show in Booth #11551. Over the course of the four-day event, Cobra will be meeting with trade professionals and automotive press. The show is taking place October 30 through November 2, 2012 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

At SEMA, Cobra will feature its recently announced Vedetta Series of radar/laser/camera detectors as well as consumer favorite, Cobra iRadar. The state-of-the art Vedetta Series has set a new industry standard in performance and style. This high-end detection model sports a 2.4-inch TFT color LCD display and can be mounted virtually anywhere on the windshield or dash. Not only does Vedetta deliver unparalleled performance and range but it also boasts an integrated GPS receiver and free, lifetime access to its AURA™ national database of speed and red light camera locations, known speed traps and dangerous intersections. The multi-award-winning Cobra iRadar is an in-car smart detection system consisting of a sleek dash-mounted detector unit paired via Bluetooth® to a free smartphone app. Together the system detects radar/laser signals and notifies users in real-time of upcoming caution areas, excessive vehicle speed, live police and photo enforcement areas, and then automatically shares caution information with other iRadar users nearby through the ever-growing iRadar community.

Cobra will also showcase its new Cobra JoyRide, a smart automotive charging system for Android smartphones. This feature-packed system lets users customize their in-car experience by automatically reconfiguring smartphone settings upon entering or exiting their vehicle. Along with its free companion app, JoyRide simplifies how smartphones operate while in the owner's car such that they can initiate phone calls, launch voice commands, learn about road hazards, and launch apps with the push of a single button.

To round out its participation at the 2012 SEMA Show, Cobra will highlight its ever-expanding portfolio of automotive power inverters, Bluetooth headsets and in-car mounts for smartphones and tablets -- all of which are specifically designed to make today's mobile lifestyle safer, more convenient and more enjoyable. Cobra will also demonstrate its industry-leading CB radios to SEMA attendees, including its latest CB radio breakthrough, the Cobra 29 LX BT. The 29 LX BT is the industry's most advanced CB radio, leveraging Bluetooth technology to allow users to connect their CB radio to their mobile phone allowing for hands-free phone calling, as well as a host of related safety and convenience features.
