The instruments are built on the complete digital signal processing technique to provide increased accuracy and broader temperature measurement ranges. Various pyrometers with different ranges are available based on the application. For glass and steel production that demand high-temperature applications the IS 8 pro pyrometer has two ranges covering 600–2500°C. The pyrometer has a 250–1600°C measurement range for metal processing application in the medium temperature range. For measuring the pouring streams the IS 80-GS pro, a special foundry version, is available.

A large multifunctional display is now incorporated in the pyrometers for viewing and analyzing the measured results directly on site. An easy-to-use key pad is also equipped with the instrument for selecting and modifying parameter settings.

The 1 ms response time facilitates temperature measurements for fast-moving objects as well as quick detection of differences in temperature. An in-built picker helps in storing the maximum temperature. Comprehensive documentation of measured data and their interpretation is facilitated through the large data storage system.

In addition, comprehensive software solutions to enable data analysis and reporting, as well as accessories are also available.
