RAE Systems Wins ISHN Reader’s Choice Awards for Gas Detection Monitors

RAE Systems Inc., the leader in innovative toxic gas and radiation detection solutions, today announced it has won all industrial hygiene toxic gas and radiation detection categories in the first ever ISHN Reader’s Choice Awards. The company’s ToxiRAE Pro Wireless Single-gas Monitors, MultiRAE Pro Portable Multi-threat Monitor and MeshGuard Gas Detection System were voted best-in-class by ISHN readers in the publication’s online contest, which took place from March 1-May 1, 2013.

During the competition, thousands of industrial safety professionals from leading industrial production organizations around the world cast their votes online for the most innovative and technologically advanced personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety products across a wide range of industrial safety categories. All winning entries will receive recognition in ISHN’s August issue and e-newsletter, and a glass award commemorating their category achievement.

According to Randy Green, publisher of ISHN Magazine, “Today’s Industrial safety market has more technological advances than ever before, which means safety officers face a multitude of critical decisions about how to increase plant-wide safety. Our goal for this competition was to recognize the companies that deliver the most innovative products and technology available. RAE Systems received an overwhelming number of votes from our readers, and continues to set itself apart as an industry-leading provider of advanced wireless detection solutions for improved safety and organization compliance plant-wide.”

Increased Demand for Wireless Industrial Gas Detection Solutions
Changing industry regulations and major safety disasters continue to drive strong demand for innovation in wireless gas detection solutions among global industrial organizations. Today’s safety officers are looking for solutions to enhance plant-wide safety in hazardous situations, enable faster response times and leverage real-time data to make the time-critical safety decisions that can save lives and reduce production downtime.

“These awards reflect both the demand for, and use of, our proven wireless monitors and safety systems by major industrial organizations who must be vigilant about risk mitigation, regulation compliance, worker safety and the protection of the public,” said Thomas Negre, vice president of products and marketing for RAE Systems. “We will continue to develop world-class wireless threat detection technologies for our customers that will help them instantaneously monitor hazardous chemical compounds, toxic and radiological threats, and worker biometric and GPS data from anywhere in the world, and make appropriate life-saving decisions in real time.”

ToxiRAE Pro Family of Wireless Single Gas Monitors
ToxiRAE Pro monitors are part of RAE Systems’ portfolio of proven wireless gas-detection solutions that put customers in control of their threat data – wirelessly and dependably. ToxiRAE Pro monitors provide anywhere-anytime access to real-time instrument readings and alarm status for better visibility of safety data and faster alarm response. ToxiRAE Pro wireless monitors are deployable on RAE Systems’ ProRAE Guardian Real-time Wireless Safety System and on the company’s EchoView Host Mini Controller, a host-based closed-loop wireless gas monitoring solution that allows users to view real-time data from up to eight ToxiRAE Pro and MultiRAE multi-gas monitors.

MultiRAE Pro Multi-Gas Monitor
RAE Systems’ MultiRAE family combines best-in-class gas- and radiation-detection capabilities with integrated wireless functionality and man-down alarms to keep workers and responders safe. The MultiRAE Pro Portable Multi-Threat Monitor can be easily configured to detect and monitor more than 300 volatile organic compounds (VOCs), gamma radiation, 55 combustible gases and vapors, and 25 specific toxic gases – up to six threats at a time – all in a single, highly versatile monitor. When deployed on RAE Systems ProRAE Guardian Wireless Safety Monitoring System, MultiRAE instruments use a five-way notification system for gas, radiation and man-down alarms to provide instantaneous on-scene alerts while simultaneously warning safety officers at a remote command center.

MeshGuard Wireless Gas Detection System
MeshGuard is the leading rapidly deployable gas-detection system for industrial, oil and gas, and remote monitoring applications. MeshGuard not only saves lives, but tens of thousands of dollars in deployment costs, regulation compliance and information processing. MeshGuard is fully supported by the ProRAE Guardian software platform. MeshGuard includes powerful wireless sensors that can be deployed rapidly in any environment which eliminates the need for lengthy and costly installation projects.
