Milone Technologies' New Fluid Level Sensor

Milone Technologies’ eTape Sensor is a real-time, solid-state sensor used for estimating water levels, water-based fluids that are non-corrosive and powders.

Milone Technologies’ eTape Sensor is a real-time, solid-state sensor used for estimating water levels, water-based fluids that are non-corrosive and powders.

This sensor is produced by making use of printed electronic equipments. It uses additive direct printing techniques to create functional circuits.

The Jacket of the sensor, which is immersed in a fluid, contracts by the fluid’s hydrostatic pressure, which leads to a variation in resistance corresponding to the distance from the uppermost portion of sensor to the surface of the fluid. It supplies a resistive output that is in inverse proportion with the liquid level.

The dimensions of the sensor are as follows: 363.2mm aggregate length; 320.7mm active length and 0.794mm resolution. When the sensor is empty the output produced is 550Ù and 60Ù when full. It operates on temperatures between –9°C and +60°C.
