A new line of advanced sensor- and cloud-based intelligent systems has been introduced by GreenPeak Technologies for Family Lifestyle connected with Social Media.
Senior Lifestyle System is the first release in the new line to allow secure and private sharing of lifestyle information between children and their elderly parents so that the parents can lead a safe and independent life at home and the children can ensure the wellness of them.

GreenPeak’s Family Lifestyle Systems are based on a set of wireless ZigBee sensor nodes positioned throughout the home and connected to a cloud-based self-learning algorithm through an internet gateway. The algorithm has sophisticated behavior pattern recognition capabilities to learn people’s behavior and routine activities in their home.
During exceptional situations or in the event of irregular behavior, alerts will be passed on to family or friends through a smart phone application integrated with social media and online messaging platforms such as QQ, WeChat, WhatsApp, and Facebook. By this way, these Lifestyle Systems continuously inform the status of family members and loved ones.
Installing the wireless sensors in specific areas of a home takes only a few minutes and their connection to the cloud over the internet is established by means a gateway. Based on the inputs provided to the sensors, the system identifies normal behavior automatically in the course of a few weeks without the need for programming rules to distinguish exception situations.
Once the learning period is over, the system can distinguish between normal inputs and abnormal situations and send alerts through Social Media applications and online messaging systems. The system is also unobtrusive, eliminating the need of wearing devices and cameras for privacy and security. General information as well as long-term behavioral trends can also be obtained from the system.
At present, the Senior Lifestyle system and the associated cloud and expert applications are being tested in China and Germany via service operators. Later this year, they are expected to be rolled out in volume. The next system in line is Junior Lifestyle that allows monitoring of infants and kids by directly connecting with the social media and smart home.
