Egis Technology Inc. (EgisTec), a leading fingerprint sensor technology provider, will be showcasing their newest portfolio of fingerprint IC sensor, module, SmartBand, and VDI box at the 2015 International Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas from January 6th to the 9th.
The EH570 is currently the world’s smallest rectangle shaped fingerprint touch sensor in EgisTec’s lineup. The sensor can be integrated as either a home or side button of a smartphone. The side button has the capability of smart navigation, resulting in the ability to use one hand to operate a large screen phone. The EH570 is capable of authenticating and verifying the identity of the user with the absolute highest degree of confidence. In addition, it’s able to read various fingerprint conditions such as wet and dry fingerprints. The combination of these factors yields a state of the art fingerprint authentication and verification system capable of delivering maximum performance - all rolled up into a tiny module operating at a low power consumption.
EgisTec has produced their first wearable device, the YuKey SmartBand. The SmartBand has a combination of sensors including fingerprint, heart, and activity. With BLE Bluetooth smart connectivity, the YuKey SmartBand will be able to connect and sync with your phone wirelessly and the data will be uploaded into the cloud. To combat the safety issues of the cloud, EgisTec has implemented a fingerprint sensor based on FIDO (Fast IDentity Online) 1.0 specifications for data security purposes.
The Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is an all in one device on the Cloud/Server Access Platform with fingerprint security and authentication based on FIDO specifications. Combining the VDI, secure authentication, and media box results in an all in one product operating at lower power consumption than a standard PC. The Android environment allows partners to easily port and write applications.
