A multi-disciplinary team of scientists at GE Global Research, the technology development arm for GE, have combined a stunning array of sensing and analytical capabilities, including motion analysis, thermal profiling, image classification/segmentation, 3D object reconstruction, and vapor detection into a single medical sensing device to assess and monitor the progression of pressure ulcers, or bed sores.

Toshiba Commences Commercial Production of T4K82 13MP CMOS Image Sensor

Toshiba Corporation's Semiconductor & Storage Products Company today announced that it has started commercial production of gT4K82h, a 13-megapixel BSI CMOS image sensor that allows smartphones and tablets to record full HD video at 240 equivalent frames per second (fps), the industryfs highest frame rate. Commercial shipments start today.

Raytheon Awarded DARPA Contract to Support Arrays at Commercial Timescales Program

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has awarded Raytheon Company two contract modifications totaling a combined $5 million in support of the Arrays at Commercial Timescales (ACT) program. ACT is focused on developing technology that enables rapidly upgradable and widely deployable radar array architectures. The awards are the result of a competitive down select process after which DARPA chose Raytheon for the next phase of both programs.

iMPak Health’s Medication Monitoring System to be Sold by Ensocare

An agreement was reached today between Ensocare and New Jersey-based iMPak Health to include iMPak’s innovative medication management system, Kraken, as part of the Ensocare sales portfolio. Ensocare will serve as an authorized re-seller for the Kraken system, which may be sold alone or, in the future, as an integrated feature inside of Ensocare’s Sync and Connect software engines.
