Supertex Introduces Twenty-Four-Channel Analog Switches for Medical Ultrasound Images

Supertex, a recognized leader in high voltage analog and mixed signal integrated circuits (ICs), today introduced two new high voltage, twenty-four-channel analog switches -- HV2661 and HV2761. They are optimized for use in applications that require high voltage switching which is controlled by low voltage signals, as is commonly found in diagnostic medical ultrasound imaging, as well as in piezoelectric transducer drivers and printers.

NCAR-Based NASA-Funded System Provides Weather Forecasts for Transoceanic Flights

A new NASA-funded prototype system developed by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) of Boulder, Colo., now is providing weather forecasts that can help flights avoid major storms as they travel over remote ocean regions. The eight-hour forecasts of potentially dangerous atmospheric conditions are designed for pilots, air traffic controllers and others involved in transoceanic flights.

Temperature@lert Introduces Smart Sensor Adapter Boards for CO2 and Oxygen Monitoring

Temperature@lert, an innovator in environmental monitoring, has introduced smart sensor adapter boards for 4-20mA and 0-2VDC. The new adapter boards for 4-20mA and 0-2VDC integrate with Astec Heracell incubators for carbon dioxide and oxygen monitoring. Temperature@lert has previously released an adapter board for dry contact that uses similar technology, which can also be found in their industrial smart sensors line.
