Flexpoint Sensor Systems, Inc. (FLXT) today announced product development of ground-breaking and award-winning wearable musical sensor gloves with UK-based mi.mu.
The mi.mu team, award winners at the recent Microsoft Wearable IT Fashion Tech Awards in Berlin, comprises musicians, artists, scientists and technologists. Their wearable glove allows for an interactive and flexible approach to the control and composition of music and visuals. Integrating Bend Sensor®, and other technology, the glove captures movement in the hands and allows the user to control sounds with their gestures. Information from the precise movement recognition in the glove can simultaneously be sent to music software.
Imogen Heap, Grammy winner and a founding Director of mi.mu, has demonstrated the glove at TED Global, Wired and other international technology conferences. Musicians and performers around the globe have embraced the mi.mu gloves to add to their performance experience.
