optoNCDT ILR 1181 Detects Tilts, Sways and Vibrations in Building

Bestech Australia launches optoNCDT ILR 1181 laser sensors with a long range capacity, from Germany-based Micro-Epsilon. These long range laser sensors furnish accurate measurements of distances extended up to 150m range.

The unique sensors are deployed in industrial applications for filling level measurements and safety applications including positional gate control. The precise sensors feature rapid measurement in 50Hz frequency and possess great resolution range which makes it applicable for a variety of specialized purposes.

Long Range Laser Sensors

The ILR 1181 is also utilized in civil engineering purposes for measuring the slant or incline of skyscrapers and tall buildings. This is of great importance in building sites, where the stability of the structure is maintained through out the process of construction.

Apart from detecting the tilts in the buildings during construction, the sensors also provide information on the bend and shaking of buildings during wind loading or other purposes. The information can be charted and evaluated using a PC by means of the advanced software supplied by Micro-Epsilon.

Accurate tilt measurements of the buildings can be achieved on different surfaces and for less reflective areas, a reflector can be employed. Senors can be positioned correctly through the laser sighting. It can be easily fixed on the housing’s grooves and to withstand extreme conditions accessories are supplied along with it.

The optoNCDT ILR 1181senors can be obtained from Bestech Australia Pty Ltd and are available in New Zealand and Australia.
