MSA’s ALTAIR 4X Employs XCell Sensors for Effective Gas Detection

Germany-based MSA launches their advanced mobile multiple-gas monitor called the ALTAIR 4X which employs innovative XCell sensing technology of the company for detecting various gases.

ALTAIR 4X

The unique multi-gas monitor ensures safety and can be deployed for calibrating the levels of H2S, CO, O2 and combustible gases. The device is shielded in a robust enclosure, provides durable operations and is not even affected by a six meter drop trial onto a rough surface. The ALTAIR 4X is user-friendly, functional in all operative environments including dim-light situations, by virtue of its glove-sensitive buttons and intense contrast output displays.

The additional InstantAlert and MotionAlert functionality as well as the luminescence property in dark environments allows its precise applications in compact space and in many other purposes.

Apart from the robustness and reliability, the intensive ruggedness of the device is contributed by the company’s XCell sensing technology employed for its operation.

The improved XCell sensors are precise, stable, recurrent and rapid in their working, and are highly-durable with a minimum life-span of over four years. An indicator exhibits the age of the sensor and warns the user to avoid maintenance costs. The in-built micro-electronics in the devise furnishes rapid measurements and immediate responsiveness.
